Its beginning to look alot like Christmas...

The Parrot

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said: "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior." John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

The Tomlin Dash

Issac, Jo and Katie ran in the Tomlin Dash this weekend and had a really good time. They all did really good in the run.

It was Macy's birthday and we had made her a Birthday Pan-cake for her breakfast and gave her her first present to open. Then on the weekend we had a small party were we had her open presents and shared cake and ice-cream. I am particularly pleased with this cake because it is my first that I was able to have it turn out pretty well.And finally I made her dress for her birthday, she was very happy with the dress. Happy Birthday Macy!

Happy Halloween!

Issac dressed as a pirate, Jo and Katie as cats and Macy as a princess.
We all went to the church for trunk or treat and to a few family and friends houses then over to Layne and Jennifer's for movies.
We all had lots of fun Halloween night! :)

Issac,Josephine and Kathryn have a new look. I think they look good. Certainly not like how I looked with my first pair!

Rick's Dip

So I found this recipe from Kraft Foods and Rick made the dip for the potluck at Work the Thursday before the fourth. I am guessing it was good because he didn't bring anything back... :)

Update

So here is the update... my sister had a baby boy. His name is Xavier Christopher. For Katies last day of Kindergarten her class sang "If we hold on together". Jo Ann had a birthday and was baptized! And just last week we celebrated our 10th anniversary. So here are the pictures. Enjoy!
